FAQs Portrait and boudoir photography, by Rawle C Jackman. Serving the TriState area. Also available to travel.

Usually the first question I get is “how much do you charge?”
There is more to an amazing portrait and boudoir photography session than just taking some pictures with the camera. A lot of preparation and works goes in before and after the shoot. Depending on the type of session, additional equipment may need to be rented. Possibly a studio might be needed, travel may be required, etc. As such, I’m always open to discussing options with you that might fit your budget. I offer packages for large and small budgets and add-ons that can accommodate most financial situations.

What’s included in a session?
All packages include an optional consultation to understand how you would like to be photographed, location, time, etc. We can be do this via email, FaceTime, Zoom, DM or in person if you so desire. A typical session is about 2 – 3 hours. Of course longer sessions are available. You are also afforded two outfit changes for a session. More can be discussed for longer sessions. Packages also include a review of the shoot at the end. You’ll also get an online gallery backed up for 10 years, with mobile access and social media sharing abilities.

Travel?
I provide portrait and boudoir photography services in NJ, NYC and the TriState Area. I am also available to travel and will travel to your location within the 5 boroughs of NYC. For locations within the Tri-State area or further, travel cost may be factored into the overall cost of the shoot.

How to book a session?
After we have discussed your needs, I will offer some available dates and times. Following that I will send you an agreement along with payment terms. Generally I request a non-refundable deposit to secure your session with the balance due on or before shooting begins.

Do I provide RAW files?
I reserve the right to keep all RAW files. These files are large, unedited files that require special software to edit. Editing those files are part of the creative process that happens after the image has been taken by the camera.  I will provide you with JPEG files that are suitable for use in a variety of situations.
